Full-Time Training Coordinator position available.
Founded in 1982 in Laredo, Texas, SCAN is a leading provider of social services in South Texas. SCAN offers a friendly and supportive working environment that encourages personal and professional growth.
Serving Children and Adults (SCAN), Inc., is seeking a Training Coordinator. The Training Coordinator will prepare, facilitate, monitor, evaluate, and document training activities for the agency. SCAN has approximately 240+ employees.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create training schedules for all agency departments, track and create reports on outcomes of all training, and maintain training records for all Agency employees.
- Train new hires in Agency policies and procedures and use the best training methods for a specific purpose or audience.
- Work closely with the HR Director and the Quality Management Department as needed to ensure timely training of all new and current staff.
- Gather and evaluate information from Agency employee and management staff on previous training to identify weaknesses and areas that need additional training.
- Recruit and train new Trainers, delegate training tasks to the Trainers, and evaluate performance.
- Inform employees and their supervisors of schedule training and track attendance and progress for each employee to receive all required training.
- Develop training aids such as manual and handbooks.
- Ensure the Agency follows all funded agencies, licensing entities, or certifying entities' training requirements for all agency staff.
- Facilitate learning through a variety of delivery methods, including classroom instruction, virtual training, and on-the-job coaching.
- Is responsible for developing, analyzing, implementing, and overseeing training programs to enhance employee skills and comply with different state and federal training requirements.
- Responsible for the maintenance of the agency's employee training database records.
- Assist with coordinating staff appreciation events.
- Some travel required.
- Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or Human Resource Management, preferred.
- Mus be Bilingual (English and Spanish).
- Previous experience in training coordination, education or related field is preferred.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities both verbal and written.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowePoint, TEAMS, etc)
- Must be able to handle a large workload in a fast-paced environment.
