Position: 1 full-time Counselor Position


The counselor will work under the Webb County DWI Court Program which is operated by the Webb County Court at Law II in partnership with SCAN. The focus of this project is to expand and enhance alcohol and drug treatment services provided along with recovery support services supporting substance abuse treatment, recovery services, screening, assessment, case managment, medication-assisted therapy and program coordination. The population of focus is composed of female and male adults who have a substance use disorder and/or co-ocurring mental health and alcohol/drug use disorder.

Duties: Provide counseling and case management services in a comprehensive, family-centered, trauma informed, evidence based, coordinated and integrated outpatient system of care to meet the complex needs of the population of focus.

If LPC-A, SCAN provides free supervision and offers all program counselors the opportunity to expand and grow within the agency's multiple comprehensive programs, If LCDC-I, SCAN is an HHSC approved Clinical Training Institute registered site to provide Supervised Work Experience hours to Counselor Interns and supports professional development.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in psychology or Master’s degree in counseling or clinical psychology
• LPC-A or LPC-A eligible, or LCDC or LCDC-I
• Must be fluent in both Spanish and English.
• Good computer skills.
• Reliable transportation, proof of insurance and a valid driver’s license required.
• Able to work flexible hours and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Master's degree preferred
• Experienced with evidence-based practices preferred

Salary range: $48,000 to $50,000 depending on experience and qualifications
