Certified Family Partner (CFP)
Youth Recovery Community Services Program (Webb County)

Seeking highly motivated and responsible individual that wants to work in the field of recovery support services for youth and young adults.

Founded in 1982 in Laredo, Texas, SCAN is a leading provider of social services in South Texas. The Youth Recovery Community (YRC) Program in Laredo, Webb County, Texas helps increase the prevalence and quality of long-term recovery from substance use disorders in youth between the ages of 13-21 by enhancing quality of life, resilience, and social connections.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct support groups.
  • Participate in wraparound services.
  • Give one-to-one support.
  • Conduct face-to-face contact guidance meetings.
  • Help families navigate local systems to access community resources.
  • Assist peer specialist in providing a variety of direct and indirect recovery support services to meet participants' comprehensive needs including emotional, informational, instrumental, and affiliational activities,
  • Provide ongoing case management services.
  • Provide problem identification and referral services.
  • Accurately document all activities performed and services provided.
Qualifications:
  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Have at least high school diploma or GED. An associate's or bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Have at least one year of personal experience as a parent or legally authorized representative (LAR) raising a child or youth with serious emotional disturbance, mental illness, or behavioral health challenges.
  • Have at least one year of personal experience as parent or LAR navigating a child services system (e.g., mental health, juvenile justice, social security, or special education).
  • Have successfully completed and passed the HHSC approved Certified Family Partner (CFP) certification process. Note: You will need to provide a copy of your CFP certificate.
  • Good bilingual (English and Spanish) skills are required.
  • A valid TX driver's license, insurance, and reliable transportation are required.

Work Schedule and Compensation:
  • The regular work schedule is 11:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Some weekend work may also be required.
  • Salary: $15.39 per hour.
