Program Coordinator – Youth Recovery Community Services Program

Primary Responsibilities:
• Provide direct recovery support services to youth program participants between the ages of 13-21 experiencing substance use problems.
• Assist the Program Director in overseeing and training paid and volunteer peer leaders, recruiting and retaining volunteer peer leaders and program participants, and developing collaborative relations in the community

• Must be in recovery from mood altering substances.
• Must demonstrate a strong and stable personal program of recovery with at least six (6) months in recovery from substance misuse or a substance use disorder. (Note: In the job application, you must explain your personal recovery experience with alcohol and/or other drugs and the number of months that you have been in recovery.)
• At least 1-2 years of providing peer-based recovery support services is preferred.
• At least 1-2 years of experience providing case management/outreach services to youth and/or adults is preferred.
• The ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish is required.
• An associate’s degree or at least 60 hours of college credit is required. A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
• A valid TX driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation are required.

Work Schedule and Compensation:
The regular work schedule is 12:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and 11:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday. Some weekend work is also required.

A salary of $14.42 - $19.23 per hour (plus benefits) depending on qualifications and experience.
