Several Full-Time Positions Available
Peer Leader – Youth Recovery Community Services Program

Primary Responsibilities:
• Provide direct support services to youth program participants between the ages of 13-21 experiencing substance use problems.
• Assist the Program Director and Program Coordinator in recruiting and retaining program participants and developing collaborative relations in the community among key stakeholders.

• The preferred candidate will be between 18-24 years of age.
• Must be in recovery from mood altering substances.
• Must demonstrate a strong and stable personal program of recovery with at least six (6) months in recovery from substance misuse or a substance use disorder. (Note: In the job application, you must explain your personal recovery experience with alcohol and/or other drugs and the number of months that you have been in recovery.)
• A high school diploma or GED is required. An associate’s or bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• The ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish is preferred.
• A valid TX driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation are required.

Work Schedule and Compensation:
The regular work schedule is 12:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and 11:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday. Some weekend work is also required.

A salary of $10 to $11.75 per hour (plus benefits) is provided depending on qualifications and experience.
